Creating Benefits

If I were to create an invention that combined both form and function, it would be an automatic wheelchair with a built in cellular telephone and navigational device. This would combine both form and function because it would allow for easy use as well as some of the common necessities of today. This invention would allow for an individual flare through color choices and cell phone choices. Through these simple design changes each wheel chair would allow for an indual personality. This invention would also allow for some of the more important necessities of today to be readily available all the time. The cell phone and navigational device would allow for a person to always be able to be in contact, especially if he or she needs help. This invention would also allow for the rider to always know where he or she is. This would be extremely beneficial because the rider would never get lost. In the future the idea of this invention can only be expanded upon and eventually some even more beneficial changes could occur to it.

Normally wheelchairs are very standardized and do not allow for much individual design. Allowing for personalization would make this product more appealing to potential buyers. This different design element would allow for no two wheelchairs to be exactly the same, and today people like this. This product would also appeal to those individuals who travel a lot in a wheelchair. With a built in cell phone and navigational device the rider never needs to worry. This also adds to the form of this wheelchair because an individual has the ability to chose between different cell phone choices. Each individual has the ability to chose a cell phone that is best suited for their needs making this product much more marketable. Though this product has quite a form, without a function it could not be sold.

Function is extremely important when creating a product that is marketable. This product is the definition of function. By combining both the automatic wheelchair with some of the common necessities of today, cell phone and navigational device, allows for a greater range of prospective buyers because it is a practical product. Because this product contains a cell phone it allows for the rider to always be in contact when needed. This becomes an extremely valuable atribute when, for example, the rider needs help. With a built in cell phone help is always just a few button clicks away. Depending on the choice of cell phone the rider could also be able to obtain important information on the go. This extra makes this product even more marketable but with a built in navigational device this product becomes almost a necessity for those who need a wheel chair.

A navigational device more commonly known as a GPS is always beneficial to have whenever going somewhere new. These extremely helpful devices would only enhance the appeal of this product. This device would allow for the rider to always know where he or she is. This would be helpful to anyone using this product in a large city or somewhere new. Another reason a navigational device would be benificial is that if the rider would ever need emergency help he or she will always be able to check the location. Navigational devices are used hundreds of times throughout a day by drivers, with this invention navigational devices would now be availible to people needing wheel chairs. People who use wheel chairs would greatly appreciate this added bonus because it also allows for the rider to feel comfortable knowing where he or she is. The idea of this invention only contains some of the commone necessities of today but in the future these aspects can change with time making this product one that will last for years.

In the future the idea of this automatic wheelchair with built in cell phone and navigational device can only be expanded upon. This invention would continue to improve people’s lives as well as make life easier. In the future common necessities will change, but this product will change to. With new devices being created everyday, the more crucial ones can be substituted in exchange of a cell phone and navigational device. This means that this product will continue to blend both form and function for years to come. This also means that the need for a product like this will always be there. Products such as this will always be in demand because they are constantly making life easier, and today that is all people can ask for. Form and function are vital when creating a product, but when these ideas are used to benifit a persons life they become even more important.

The most influential technological invention to benefit society is, by far, the creation of the telephone. Because this invention led to better communication, the world of business was able to greatly expand and grow. This growth led to economical expansion in homes as well as communities. The invention of the telephone was also a great building block for some of the common technologies of today, for example the cell phone. This common day device is almost vital to society and one would be at a major inconvenience without it. News and media would also not be the same with out the telephone. The telephone allows for quicker communication as well as quicker news and, or, media coverage. Although the original telephone was quite large and more difficult to use than the ones today; it set the ground work for a highly used and beneficial device.

One of the many benefits of the telephone was how this device helped the business world. Without the telephone many businesses would not be able to contact other business or corporations as easily. The telephone also makes it much easier for business owners and workers to know what is happening within the actual business. This allows for a better knowledge of the work place. This device also allows for business meetings to occur even when one party cannot actually attend in person. When companies and business are able to do business, they are able to grow in size as well as grow financially. Because of this growth, the workers benefit by receiving a better pay, which in turn is spent and helps the economy of a certain area grow. Without the telephone, none of these advancements would be able to be done, but with recent technologies it can be done even faster and with ease.

More recent technologies like the cell phone were developed from the idea of the telephone. The cell phone or cellular device is common today but forty years ago this was unheard of. This small but extremely handy device is needed almost everyday because it is portable and extremely useful. Cell phones allow for quick and instant conversations all in the palm of your hand. The cell phone is also extremely handy in the case of an emergency. With the creation of 911, cell phone users are able to gain help at the click of a button wherever they are. Because these devices are so handy and so widely used, information is always available. These devices enable people all over the world not only the luxury of easy calling, but the ability to know what is going on all over the world through news and media.

News and media were greatly affected by the invention of the telephone, but now with the cell phone, the affect is even greater. The telephone and cell phone allow people to communicate with those delivering the news. News and media would also not be able to gain some of the information without the help of those people calling to give it to them. Telephones also allow for a quick delivery of news from individual to individual. This then leads to world wide knowledge of a single event. Through communication, news can be spread extremely fast with extreme ease. This can be considered both good and bad. With every invention, like the telephone, the question of whether or not it is good or bad will be asked.

The telephone can be considered one of the most influential technological inventions for many reasons. The ability for growth within the business world is major. This helps not only the business, but also the community where the business is located. In addition the creation of new technologies allows for advancements such as the cell phone. The cell phone is almost vital for everyday life and allows for a quick and convenient exchange of daily news. News and media also benefited from the creation of the telephone. Without this invention the gathering and exchange of information would be extremely hard. In the future the idea of the telephone can only be added to and changed making creating even more ease for people.
